Choosing an online school

How do I choose the best online school for my child?

Look for four things: real accreditation (Cambridge, Pearson or a national inspectorate); live teacher-led classes (not just videos); small class sizes; and transparent, published fees. Brainybay meets all four — book a free trial class before you decide.

What questions should I ask before enrolling in an online school?

Ask about accreditation, class size, teacher qualifications, whether classes are live or recorded, exam registration support, pastoral care, tech requirements, refund policy, and how progress is reported to parents.

Is online homeschooling a good idea?

For families who value flexibility, small classes, safety and internationally recognised qualifications, yes — but success depends on a quiet study space, steady internet, and consistent parental support, especially for younger children.

How does online homeschooling work?

Students log into live, teacher-led classes each day on their laptop, complete assignments through the learning platform, and get regular feedback and reports. Parents receive progress updates every term and can meet teachers online.

Is Brainybay accredited?

Yes. Brainybay delivers the full Cambridge International curriculum and prepares students for Cambridge IGCSE and A-Level examinations, sat at approved exam centres worldwide.

Cost & value

How much does online homeschooling cost per year?

Accredited online Cambridge schools charge roughly $1,000–$10,000 a year depending on stage. Brainybay's exact 2026/27 fees by year group are on our Tuition & Fees page — see our full cost guide for the wider market picture.

Is online homeschooling cheaper than international school?

In almost every case, yes. Physical international schools typically cost $15,000–$35,000 per year, while an accredited online Cambridge school offers the same qualifications for a fraction of that.

Do you offer payment plans?

Yes — fees are paid per term, and annual and sibling discounts are available. Bank transfer, KCB Paybill and major cards accepted.
